The official history which is the base of almost many of the books ides a great fact and misleads public. In fact Anzacs won the war, but military censorship declared a defeat for their strategic and political aims. Unimaginable level of manipulation there is. Having read this book, read the other ones and see how rigged the Gallipoli history is. Really unbelievable but all the content of the book is from very reliable western sources. Here is a link of the book. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hidden-Victory-Anzacs-Gallipoli/dp/0995459304/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1463171876&sr=8-1&keywords=the+hidden+victory+of+anzacsnondisclosed_email@example.com (Robohistorian)Sat, 21 May 2016 23:14:42 +0000 Re: Book about Gallipoli...?https://banzacresearch.runboard.com/p3834,from=rss#post3834https://banzacresearch.runboard.com/p3834,from=rss#post3834Most of the books on the market are a great read on the campaign so hard to go wrong. Just check your local bookshops or online like this one > Gallipoli Books With so many to select from now - it is a case of which one to read first! nondisclosed_email@example.com (lovebooks)Mon, 29 Sep 2014 20:06:03 +0000 Re: Book about Gallipoli...?https://banzacresearch.runboard.com/p1360,from=rss#post1360https://banzacresearch.runboard.com/p1360,from=rss#post1360Bill, For a long time Alan Moorhead's 'Gallipoli' was considered one of the best and still is. But for a beginner go with Frev. Les Carlyon's book is excellent and really makes you feel the frustration of the whole campaign. Its the story of the Fatal charge of the Light Horse, Gallipoli, August 7 1915. (From the Cover) It concentrates mainly on the area of the NEK, where so many lost their lives. Fair puts you off your lunch in some places. $30.00 - Don't know if you have Dymocks book shops where you are but I am sure it would be available in most good book sellers. Your local library should also have a good supply of Gallipolli also. It would be nice if the book is easily available in the United States or via a website like Amazon.com Thank you, Bill R.
