Re: DIGGER - newsletter of the FFFAIF

DIGGER Issue 13 (40 pages) will be available soon to members. The cover story is by John Payne who travelled to Merris for the reinterment of his great uncle and three other Diggers of the 3rd Btn. Other articles tell of tracing two brothers KIA from their studio portraits; the experiences of a member of the MTMortars; a 'malingerer' of the 18th Btn at Pozieres; a soldier tells of his involvement in the filming of the Gallipoli landing renactment on Sydney's foreshores; and other interesting articles on WWI. Why not join the FFFAIF and receive DIGGER, dedicated entirely to WWI digger heritage, every three months, plus attend our lecture days? All for $35 pa. Graeme

Re: DIGGER - newsletter of the FFFAIF

DIGGER 16 is about to be released to members. It has many fascinating articles, including: A letter from a soldier wounded at Fromelles; the diary of a 39th Bn bandsman/stretcher-bearer; several soldier profiles; a journey through the medical evacuation system on the Western Front; the story of a suicide on the voyage home; the story of Frev's great uncle in the 57th Bn; two accounts of Pozieres by men who survived it (one of nine pages is the best you will ever read); the discovery of a 'missing' soldier who should never have been missing, as he has had a marked grave since 1916; plus more. The best WWI quarterly in Australia is sent to FFFAIF members only. Why not spend a measly $35 and join?? Contact me for details. Graeme
